Strong-Wind-in-Virtual-Land

March is blowing it’s way in and making itself known with tree branches and debris blowing down the streets .  Even in the midst of the snow, gray skies and rain, spring will be blowing in soon.  Nature wakes up and begins the cycle of rebirth and renewal.  I love spring.  It’s such a positive example of change and rejuvenation.

With that in mind, I thought now would be a good time to make a change on the blog. I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do here and what value I can bring you.

This blog is supposed to be a create outlet for me, as well as a fun way to do an occasional mind dump.  So, I’m going to revamp the blog and bring a little more clarity to you and me.  It’s still going to be a creative outlet, but I’m going to try to make it more purposeful for you.

What I’m planning:

  • Simply Clesha – My other life consists of a handmade aromatherapy bath and body business I started over 10 years ago.  Right now, I’m in the middle of getting it back up and restructured.  I thought a good way to save my sanity may be to let you know what I’m doing over there.  You know, it would be the stuff I can’t really post on the aromatherapy blog.  It may also be useful to anyone who is thinking about starting a business or interested in aromatherapy.
  • More crafting! – I love crafting and this year I really want to do more creative things on and offline.  I haven’t been able to yet thus far, but once the dust has settled, I’m going to take my trusty glue out and get to work. Of course it will also include knitting and scrapbooking.
  • Writing – It seems all I do now is write, read and write some more.  Most of it is mandatory for the business, but I still have fiction writing dreams and plans.  I figured I could still explore my first love here and document my writing progress (or lack thereof).
  • Techno Babble – Since I love technology when it’s doing exactly what I want, when I want it to, I’m going to bring you more gadgets and techno non-sense to satisfy my techie cravings.
  • Mix of crazy – Videos, wacky things I find on the web and other interesting tidbits.
  • Philly Stuff – I’m also determined to get out this year.  There’s a lot to do in this fair city of mine and I’m going to take advantage of some of it.  Fun stuff on the horizon boys and girls.

Oh yeah, I’m also going to slap a new coat of paint on the walls and move some furniture around.  Might as well blow the dust off of this place while I’m at it right?

A few years ago, I took the plug and got a Blackberry Pearl 8120 with WiFi.  I loved my new toy from the start. Even though it took most of my weekend, while attending a family reunion, to get the thing working correctly.  I loved the idea of finding hidden hotspots and being able to talk and surf for free.  And, the plan was to get the T-Mobile at Home package that will help reduce my expenses.

Well, that didn’t happen, and my Blackberry is acting kookier than normal.  I’m tired of taking the battery out and resetting it.  Upgrading the software just to loose apps and don’t get my started on my journeys out of town.  You try being out of town on a shopping trip and not be able to get text messages from your bank with an account balance.  I mean this was an outlet shopping trip and I needed to know if I could treat myself to that Coach bag I had my eye on all year.  By the way, that tech call took almost a half hour and the problem wiped out all of my messages.  And the texting functions till didn’t work.

Moving On…

Now, I have my eye on the T-Mobile My Touch.  The jury is still out on whether or not I’ll get it.  I need to see it up close and personal before I make the commitment.  Until then, I’m going to reserve my room at the Blackberry rehab center.
